DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
With this film I wanted to celebrate how far cinema has come but also offer a critical analysis of its current state. The aim was to contrast the genius practical effects of Georges Méliès' A Trip to the Moon (1902) with modern cinema's heavy use of VFX and green screen. Our characters, 3 confused astronauts, embody the identity crisis of modern cinema as they try to reach the final frontier, eventually opting to use "movie magic" instead by standing in front of a green screen.
